Obituary

Royleen Marie McGarrity - Pasquini
It is with great sadness that we announce that Royleen Marie McGarrity, Beloved Daughter, Sister, Godmother, and Friend; passed away on August 6, 2020; due to complications of diabetes. She was born on September 9, 1955.
Royleen was predeceased by her parents Roy and Emilie Pasquini. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald & Teresa Pasquini and Richard Pasquini & Sara Bilimoria. Also, her Godson & nephew Dante Pasquini; as well as her much loved nephews and their wives, Jefferey & Milo Pasquini, and Anthony & Shelley Pasquini. She will also be missed Dearly by all of her great nephews & nieces and her great-great nephew, Carson.
Royleen was born in Bakersfield, Ca. She lived for many years in South Lake Tahoe, CA; as well as Grover City, CA; Rawlins, WY; Sacramento, CA; & Tehachapi Ca. She was a mountain girl through & through. Royleen loved to travel, often with her best friends Lori Anderson, or Mary Bondoc. She was a devoted friend to Nova Skeeter, and thought of her as a second mom. She Loved to hunt for treasures at thrift stores, and also volunteered at “Have A Heart Humane Society” in Tehachapi, CA. She adored every one of her fur babies; and often took in abandoned newborn kittens for the local animal shelter. She was incredibly inventive, selling her hand-made creations from her store in Pismo Beach to the world wide net. Every holiday was celebrated with festive decorations, many of them hand crafted; & you couldn’t open a card without joyful confetti flying out of the envelope.
Besides running her own business, Royleen was Head of Housekeeping for several major hotels/casinos. She most recently worked for the Home Depot Corporation; forming several more enduring friendships; as was her way.
Royleen experienced a lifetime of health challenges; but never let them stop her from embracing life. She was one of the bravest people we knew.; and we will all miss her kind heart and beautiful smile.
Due to covid19, we will be holding a virtual ceremony on September 12, 2020; at 10:00am

I met Royleen at Home Depot. What drew me to Royleen was her work ethic and the fact she worked quietly, alone and got the job done!
We became good friends. We shared many great, hilarious adventures. Roy welcomed me to her home endlessly. What terrific times we shared doing yard work, shopping, attending the seasonal festivals, wine walk and occasional trips to the beach. I love her. I will never forget her and the happy adventures we shared.

My condolences to the Pasquini Family! I was a friend of Royleen’s in Elementary School and Jr High. She and I shared a lot of good times as kids together. We also at young ages experienced the loss of a parent which brought us closer together! I lost my father and she her mother. What I remember most about Royleen was having her as a really good friend and she had the most beautiful handwriting for a kid. I remember my days at the family Pasquini home on Idaho. Her parents were the best and her brothers were really handsome and as one of her friends us girls would giggle whenever we saw them. My parents went to high school with her parents so it was a small world. Last year my Grandson played Soccer with Rick’s Grandson so yes a small world. I wish I had’t lost touch with her I did reach out to her year's back but at that time her father was ill and she was busy with him. I thought of her often and by her obituary I believe she had a good life and that makes me happy! Royleen RIP with your parents and I am glad you and I were friends. Until we meet again! Much love Kelly Seeger Calhoun
