Obituary for Maria Macias

Maria DeLosAngeles Macias, 65, of Modesto CA, was called by our heavenly father on January 2, 2021.

Maria was born on July 5, 1955 to Concepcion Quezada and Maria Guadalupe Carillo in Aposol, Mexico.
Maria gave birth to four children; Jose Asension Macias, Enrique Macias, Rosalia Macias and Alfredo Macias. Despite Maria becoming a single mother early on she excelled at propping up her children and supporting them through the many difficulties of their lives. She made it a mission to improve the lives of her children, whether that meant leaving everything she knew and had in Long Beach Ca. and starting from nothing in Modesto, CA. Although it was devastating and very difficult for her she managed to keep her faith and push through. Maria had set her mind to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother to her children. She worked hard, had numerous jobs at some point but the love for her children was much greater. She accomplished much more than she could imagine.

Maria was a passionate grandmother and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her kitchen, cooking up a delicious dish. She absolutely loved cooking for everyone and anyone that came into her home. Maria loved pleasing her grandchildren whether it was making them chicken soup, her famous beans or playing with them. She always said her grandchildren kept her going, that she lived for them.

Maria was predeceased by her son Jose Asension Macias, her grandson Brandon Lee Hill, her father Concepcion Quezada and mother Maria Guadalupe Carillo. She is survived by her children Enrique Macias and his spouse Monica Suarez, Rosalie Macias and her spouse Mark Hill, Alfredo Macias and his spouse Carolina Torres. Maria was the most caring, most loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren whom she lived for. For Maria family came first above all else, her family meant everything. We will miss her greatly.
