Jesus C. Contreras, 50 years of age, passed on May 6, 2022 in Bakersfield CA.

Jesus was born to David Contreras Garcia and Carolina Castillo Contreras in San Nicolas de los Agustinos, Guanajuato, Mexico. He met his wife, Esperanza Contreras, of 29 ½ years in 1991 in Gonzalez CA. In October of 1992 they married and in 1993 they began their family with their daughter Andrea Isabel (28) who was followed by David Estevan (26), Oscar Manuel (24) and Carolina Crystal (23).

Jesus loved to garden and could fix just about anything. He loved good food and always smiled when he was received with delicious aromas. He enjoyed walking and climbing the Bluffs. His child were his pride and joy. He loved his wife even when she was cracking jokes at his expense. He was kind-hearted, willing to lend a hand, and could strike a conversation with anyone.

Survived by his parents, David and Carolina, siblings, Claudia, Sergio, Oscar, Marisol, Virginia and Nicolas, wife, Esperanza and his children Andrea (Joel Gabriel), David (Brittany Ortiz), Oscar and Carolina (Carlos Hernandez).

Services will be held May 23, 2022 at 10:00 am, Greenlawn Funeral Homes Southwest, Bakersfield CA.
Reception will be held following the service in the Contreras home 2729 Garber Way Bakersfield CA.
