Angelica Fidelino Genova went to be with the Lord at the age of 80, on May 31, 2021 in the city of Bakersfield, California. Angelica was surrounded by the love of her daughters and son-in-laws as she passed into the heavenly hands of her Lord and Savior.

Angelica was born on May 21,1941 in Tanay Rizal, Philippines to Cecilio and Leoncia Fidelino. Angelica was recognized as a Dentist on May 3,1962, by the Board of Dentistry in the Philippines. Our mother practiced dentistry with her mother Dr. Leoncia Fidelino in the city of Manila. Angelica immigrated to America in 1965, with $50 dollars in her pocket and one suitcase. When she arrived in Oakland, California, she found a job with Blue Cross and two years later, purchased her first home. On a special day in 1972, Angelica met her husband, Arthur Genova at a filipino dental conference. They married in 1976, in Oakland, California. After their honeymoon in Lake Tahoe, they moved to Bakersfield, California, where our father was practicing dentistry. Bakersfield was their home where they raised their three daughters, Elizabeth Heberle, Angelica Ranches, and Sylvia Genova.

Angelica or as family called her, Gely, had many hobbies. Which included gardening, word search puzzles, listening to Christmas music, cooking, praying and spending time with her family and her dog Moka. She grew up Catholic and in her later years, became a member of Rivers of Living Water Apostolic Ministries church. She gave her life to the Lord in 2018, and was committed to sharing the love of Jesus with those around her. She could always be heard saying, “Pray because God will hear all your prayers, and He will answer you.”

Angelica was a believer in Jesus Christ and we find comfort in knowing that she is in the comfort of our Lord Jesus. She is survived by her three daughters Elizabeth Heberle, Angelica Ranches, and Sylvia Genova. She is also survived by her two son-in-laws, Jeff Heberle and Melvin Ranches. She was a grandmother to Lucas and Max Heberle. She was a friend and Lola to many, and she will be greatly missed. However, our hope is that we will be reunited with her again.

Services will be held June 10, 2021, 9am, at Rivers of Living Water Apostolic Ministries Church, located at 5703 Nathaniel Way, Bakersfield, California 93313.
