Vincent Floyd Bakich
Vince Bakich died unexpectedly on May 24, 2022, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with his wife, Sandy by his side.
He was born May 23, 1961, in Porterville CA, the son of John and Wanda (nee Jesinghaus) Bakich.
Vince graduated from South High School, Class of 1980, and went on to major in Business Administration at Cal State Bakersfield. In 1990, he married the love of his life, Sandy Barber. His beloved son, Pierce Alexander, was born in 2004. In 1988, Vince started working at Quinn Caterpillar, beginning a 34-year career with the company.
In addition to his wife and son, Vince is survived by his parents, John & Wanda Bakich of Bakersfield; his twin brother Patrick and his wife Jennifer of Bakersfield; his sister Ivonne and her husband Dr. Thomas Lukaszczyk of Santa Ynez; niece, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Vince leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were the recipients of his generous nature, never hesitating to help people out; his love and knowledge of antique cars, and his hilarious sense of humor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 7th at 2 pm at St. Francis Church, 900 H Street, Bakersfield, CA. 93304.
Visitation will be held on June 6th between 4 pm and 8 pm at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, Southwest Chapel Building A, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
