Obituary for Timothy Ben Tsosie

Timothy Tsosie (March 25, 1965–October 13, 2023)

The amazing firm and faithful Patriarch of Godly wisdom, Timothy Tsosie, 58, of Navajo, New Mexico, died in Bakersfield, CA on October 13, 2023. He was born in Fort Defiance, Arizona in 1965 to James Tsosie of Sawmill, Arizona and Christine Tsosie of Borego Pass, New Mexico His parents were the motivational encouragement for Tim to succeed beyond any thoughts that his smart mind generated. He always took care of his mom and dad with no questions asked.Tim was a kind, spontaneous and a free-spirited kid who loved the outdoors and entertainment of all kinds - especially the Electronics. He had a luminous spirit which intensified a sea wave of positive energy to any of those that felt his vibrations. He attended primary and middle schools in Navajo, New Mexico and then moved out to Salina, Utah with his replacement program foster family of, Gene and Colleen Andersen. He loved Gene and Colleen tremendously because they chose to openly love Tim through God’s words and visions, in which, they added onto the continued empowerment of confidence that he so graciously possessed. He attended North Sevier High School in Salina, Utah active in Track and Drama, before earning an Associate’s degree in Computer Technology at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. In return that helped him launch his own business into working for himself as an IT Technician under his name of Tsosie Enterprises, LLC. He knew computers like no other. This is why his display of hard work and the embodiment of Optimistic exuberance means so much to all the lives that Tim has touched and changed over the many years of life he did have.

He met the love of their life, Andrea Maria Tsosie, in 1988 in Shiprock, New Mexico. Andrea was a capture to Tim’s eyes. Tim and Andrea couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children mean the world to them. Tim is survived by his wife, Andrea Tsosie and his children, Jennifer Tsosie, Tiffany Tsosie, Tammy Tsosie, Nathan Tsosie, Anthony Tsosie & Selena Pineda, and Summer Tsosie. His grandchildren: Marrion Johnson – KaMaury Walker, Qamar Tsosie-Johnson, Amaris Tsosie-Johnson, Jaiden Ware, Jayana Ware, Amir Williams, Amaya Williams, Zayez Tsosie, Zaya Tsosie, Zayliyana Tsosie, Zennaya Pineda-Tsosie, Ezekiel Pineda-Tsosie, Elizio Pineda-Tsosie, Kalia Hill, Lance Hill, Justin Hill, and Ethan Hill. He is survived also by his immediate family: Gerald Tsosie, Michael Tsosie, Matilda Tsosie, Matthew Tsosie, Jaimeanna Tsosie, and Autumn Tsosie. He loved his Family dearly. Although he loved computers, making great memories, laughing with family, and motivating others, Tim’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. He truly treasured his time with his grandkids and loved being their Papa, never failing to guide them on the firm foundation of knowledge that he has done so many times before or putting family celebrations first, as much as he could, and there were a lot that he brought all together for. He taught his family to never give up on themselves and to tell yourself, every day, that I am enough! His inspiration continues to live on through his family and his friends of all walk of life.

Tim’s friends were the light to his trying times. He didn’t have many trying times or at least tried not to show us he was struggling. He always accepted it as a challenge and challenge it may be – he conquered every last idea. Business associates turned into Lifelong friend commitments because nobody can just have one interaction with Tim and just be done. His energy was contagious as the running ripples on a calm sheet of water. Tim was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints devoting his time and energy to sharing the word of God and the gospel to countless souls. He made sure that he used his priesthood powers of strength and prayer in tremendous ways that his time on earth was cut short because he is such a bigger force up there with God. He has a bigger mission and that makes us proud to have known such a man.

Tim is preceded in death by his grandparents: Cecil Navajo and Grandma Navajo, His parents: James and Christine Tsosie, his mother-in-law Stella Barney, his daughter Angel Barney-Tsosie, his niece Valerie Martinez and his sister-in-law Sophia Peshlakai.

Any donations to help lay Tim to rest can be found on his GoFundMe under the search title: Tify Tim or at https://gofund.me/28dd9921. Thank you – Anything helps and it is truly appreciated. God Bless you all.
