Obituary for Sean Anthony Jackson

Sean Anthony Jackson

May 7, 2003 – March 17, 2021

Sean was born in Bakersfield, California to William and Alicia Jackson. Sean passed away at the youthful age of 17 years old. He was a senior at Stockdale High School.

When Sean was younger, he liked eating steak; playing Minecraft; spending summers playing in the pool with his brothers and cousins; creating digital art; and acrylic painting on canvases. Sean dreamt of being an artist. As Sean grew older, his interests shifted to hanging out with friends, shopping at second-hand stores, riding his longboard, and cooking. Sean liked Mexican food, Chinese food, and mochi. His dad affectionally called him “Pooki” and Owen and Annie called him “Seanie”.

Sean enjoyed the beach and the mountains. He had fun going to Huntington Beach and Santa Monica with his family. He liked going through the shops and sitting on the beach. But he also had great memories of fishing and camping in the mountains with his mom, Alicia and brother, Zack, in the family’s Ford Bronco.
If you had seen Sean in the last few years, chances are you saw him wearing his beloved pajama pants. He loved to be comfortable and nothing was more comfortable to Sean than his pajama pants and holely black Vans shoes.

Sean enjoyed music. His taste in music varied throughout the years, but no matter what he was into at the time, he was always grateful and excited for the opportunity to see many of his favorite bands in concert. Music touched his soul and seemed to help him sort through the ups and downs of life.

Sean had two guinea pigs, Rowie and Kogie, that he loved and cared for. He often spent time cuddling and playing with them. Sean loved his guineas even though their hay flared up his allergies.

Sean had a great smile and eyes that lit up any time he had something funny or witty to say. He was fun to be around and often had people around him laughing with something he had said or done. He was a sensitive soul that carried much love and pain. Sean was a joy…and at times, a pain in the a**, but mostly a joy. Sean will continue on with us through our memories and love for him.

Sean is proceeded in death by his mother, Alicia; his grandfathers, Bub Christy and Skip Brannon; and his great-grandfather, Bill Jackson.

Sean is survived by his father, Bill; stepmother, Liz; older brother, Zachary; younger brothers, Hayden and Owen; niece, Annie; and lots of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
