Obituary for Rosemary Odale Sagaser

Rosemary Odale Sagaser was born in Lemoore, CA. on April 3, 1930. She was the oldest child of three and grew up in Avenal, CA. where her parents owned a ranch. She loved to ride her horse and sing to it when nobody was around to hear. She met her husband John Henry Dale Sagaser of almost 70 years that lived on a neighboring ranch. They moved to Taft, CA. in 1950, where they had their first child.
Then moved to Lost Hills, CA. on an oil lease in 1953, where they had their second child. Rosemary enjoyed being a girl scout troop leader. She was a girl scout herself when she was younger. She continued to be a scout leader when she moved with her family to McKittrick, CA. in 1962. They had their last child and resided in their current residence for 58 years. She volunteered at McKittrick School for over 10 years as an aide and cook assistant, until she was hired as a cook for Westside Hospital. After shortly working for the hospital, McKittrick School hired her as their head food service worker, where she ran the cafeteria and she worked for six and a half years, until retirement. She was also on the school board for a term. Rosemary loved people and never met a stranger. She would talk to a brick wall if it would respond back to her. People will always remember her happy smile and friendly ways. She passed away in her beloved home on March 2, 2021 with loved ones by her side. Her death was not related to Covid. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincel and Rose Odale; her brother, Jim Odale; husband, John Henry Dale Sagaser; grandson, William Daniel Sagaser; and daughter, Roseanna Sagaser.
She will be dearly missed by her brother, Vincel Odale; son, Mark (Joetta) Sagaser; daughter, Julia (Brian) Morris; grandson, John Mark Sagaser and granddaughters, Courtney Morris and Jessica (Dallas) Cooley. A graveside will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the West Side District Cemetery, Taft, CA. Rosemary was a “Big Giver” to a lot of different charities. In lieu of flowers please donate to any charity of your choice in Rosemary’s honor. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Greenlawn Funeral Home Southwest.
