Rodulfo Valverde, 7/7/1949-7/26/2022
Rodulfo (Rudolf) was born to Rodolfo and Patrocina Valverde on July 7, 1949 in Ropesville, Texas. He moved to Bakersfield in 1958. He was one of 16 children.
Rudolf is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Valverde, his parents, and multiple brothers and sisters.
Rudolf attended West High School and met his first wife, Becky, while attending Bakersfield High School. Through their marriage they had 2 children, Rudy and Renee.
Rudolf married Shirley Ann Smith in 1983 and remained married until her passing in 2009. Together, they had 3 children, Joshua, Justin, and Mia.
Rudolf was known to be a hardworker. He worked many jobs throughout his career with the most recent being at Bolthouse Farms. He retired in July of 2021.
Rudolf had a great sense of humor and would make wise cracks all the time. He loved his children and grandchildren and spent his life working hard for his family. He enjoyed watching his family participate in many activities and he was a life long Miami Dolphins fan.
Rudolf is survived by his children Rudy and his wife Allison, Renee and her husband Josh Ralls, Joshua and his wife Sabrina, Justin, and Mia. His 9 grandchildren, Miranda, Chris, Brooklynn, Jayla, Kadynce, Connor, Dylan, Luke, Nixon, and 5 great grandchildren, Ayevian, Melodie, Scarlett, Millie, and Penelope. As well as multiple siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A graveside service with be held at Greenlawn Cemetery Southwest in Bakersfield, CA on Monday August 8, 2022 at 10 am.
