Obituary for Raul Romo

Raul  Romo
Raul Romo,71, born April 16, 1952 sadly left us on January 10, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of his death he lived in Tucson, Arizona with his long-time sweetheart P.J.

Raul studied electrical engineering at Cal Poly and graduated in 1983. He was a former Sr. Test Engineer at Honeywell designing test equipment for military applications. He also worked for many high tech companies during his career.

Raul loved to dance, going to casinos and playing his lottery scratchers. His greatest passion was lifting weights and as a young man, lifted competitively. Raul took great pride in his family. He made frequent trips to Bakersfield and San Luis Obispo to visit them and his son Adam.

Raul was preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe Arriola and father Manuel Romo; brothers Manuel Romo and Bill Garcia; sisters Jessie Arenas Sarah Garcia; daughter Judith Ann Moore and grandson Isaiah Moore. He is survived by his son Adam Romo; brothers Ernie, Tom, and Gabriel Arriola and Vincent Madera; sisters Mary Luna and Luz Romo and grandchildren Susanna, Jason and Savanna Moore. He also had many nieces and nephews who loved his dearly.

Services for Raul will be February 10, 2024 at 11 am at Greenlawn Funeral Home Northeast, 3700 River Blvd Bakersfield,Ca, and a reception to follow at 2pm at the Moose Lodge, 905 Stine Road Bakersfield, CA.
