Obituary for Pablo Armendariz Hernandez

Pablo, 92, passed away at home surrounded by his loving-family. He was born in La Cienega de Ceniceros, Chihuahua, Mexico and battled various ailments during his last six years.
He was a farm laborer and worked in many phases of agriculture, finishing up his career with JG Boswell. Pablo was hard-working and passed that along to his children. He enjoyed tending to his orange trees, flower beds, lawn and was known to have a “green thumb” when it came to gardening. He was a fan of boxing and rooted for the Dodgers. Pablo loved his grandchildren, who brought out the soft-side in him.
He is survived by Nori, his wife of 72 years. His children: Antonio, Pablo, Luz Elena, Roberto, Jose and Rafael. He has one remaining brother, Miguel Armendariz, of Mexico. His ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Pablo was preceded in death by his daughter Norma, parents Rafael and Lucrecia Armendariz, siblings Maria Armendariz, Susana Armendariz, Arcadio Armendariz, Florencio Armendariz, Ramon Armendariz and Rafael Armendariz.
All his family accompanied him to Fresno when he became an American citizen, which he was very proud of. He was a member of Sociedad Edad de Oro Logia #12 and at one time served as a trustee of the board.
Our family would like to express its gratitude to Hoffmann Hospice and their staff for their care and concern for Pablo during his last two months.
