Obituary for Michael Kane "Mike" Brown
Michael "Mike" Kane Brown was born October 13th, 1957 to Charles and Shirlee Brown in Bakersfield, CA. Mike passed away March 8th, 2021 at the age of 63 in Bakersfield, CA.
Mike graduated from East Bakersfield High School. He grew up camping and riding motorcycles with his family. His career began as a welder in 1982 with UA local 460 where he completed a four year apprenticeship becoming a Journeyman welder. He spent the majority of his working years at Oilfield Construction and ARB as a pipeline welder. Mike retired in 2015.
In 1986, Mike married the love of his life, Sherry and the two had a daughter, Samantha, who was his pride and joy. As an adult, Mike enjoyed flying remote-control airplanes, building go-karts, fishing, hunting, riding Harleys, attending/watching NASCAR races, and racing riding lawn mowers.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Shirlee Brown.
Michael is survived by his wife, Sherry Brown, daughter, Samantha and husband Brian Burdge, sister, Robin and husband Roy Acevedo, nephews, Anthony Acevedo and Derek McCormack, nieces, Carlee Fuller and Danielle McCormack, in-laws Donald and Donna McCormack, and grandchildren: Morgan, Spencer, and Haley Burdge.
Services will be held graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park (3700 River Blvd.) on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00am.
