Obituary for Melanie Jean Meadows

Melanie Jean Meadows was 68 years old. She was born in Detroit, Michigan January 24, 1952 and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. Melanie was the daughter of Hubert and Martha Meadows, brother of James David and sister of Elizabeth Josephine.
Melanie attended college at David Lipscomb in Nashville, TN. She then moved to California and completed her degrees at Cal State Bakersfield and National University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education.
She taught K-8 at Sunrise Christian School and then, in Arvin, taught special education, becoming Vice Principal at Bear Mtn. Elementary School. She started Arvin’s Angels, a charity to help families in need at Christmas time.
Melanie loved to cook, entertain and travel. Bunco was a favorite activity for many years with her Sunrise friends. She opened her home to many in need. Her family and friends were cherished. Jerry and Lurene Grimes and their family were especially dear to her.
She loved to collect angels and now she is one! Melanie dedicated her life to Christ and serving others. She is at home in Heaven and we long for the day we will see her again. She will be dearly missed!
