Marlene Fay Murch was born in Lincoln CA. on September 21st, 1935; and passed away in Taft CA. on Saturday April 10th, 2021. Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was loved by all. Marlene moved to Taft in 1957 with her husband Gene where she remained until her passing. A wife of 57 years to Gene, Marlene was a loving wife who enjoyed the simple things in life; like her daily soap opera, reading a good book, shopping with her daughter, spending time with her children and grandchildren and she always enjoyed a nice cold glass of wine at the end of a long day. Her love for her family was unmeasured; she was at her happiest spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Murch, parents Alfred and Myrtle and by her brother Billy and sisters Betty, Dorothy, Linda, and Donna. She is survived by her children and their partners Kevin and Nancy Murch of Bakersfield, Denise Murch and Glenn Miller of Taft; her brother Fred, sisters Virginia and Mary Ann and by her four grandchildren Corby Oliver and his wife Siobhan , Jesse Murch, Caroline Murch, Jeremy Miller and her great granddaughter Kylie Miller. The family would like to extend a large and loving thank you to Marlene’s caretakers Alia, Lea, and Krystal who were instrumental in Marlene’s comfort and care during her final months. The family also extends a loving thank you to Hoffman Hospice for their help in caring for Marlene, especially to her nurses Mallory and Brent, April, and Pastor Nancy. Marlene was a kind and loving woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
