Loretta Jane Gago was born May 6, 1944, in Phoenix Arizona and passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 22, 2021. Lori was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and Mimi to her grandson. Her favorite hobby was knitting and crocheting various items for people she loved and cherished, giving these gifts made her so happy. She loved her classic movies and watched anything related to the Royal family in England. She was a cosmetologist for over 58 years and when she was not doing hair she was baking and decorating cakes. She loved her children and her grandson Andrew so very much and any chance she got, she loved to tell stories about her grandson and show off his pictures in her living room. She loved to travel to Camarillo and Redondo beach whether it be for the weekend, holidays or just for the day. When she was in Camarillo, she loved to eat at her favorite restaurants, Cheesecake Factory and Andria’s in the Ventura Harbor. Lori grew up in Arvin California, she graduated from Arvin High School in 1962, earned her cosmetology license in 1963. In 1966 she married her childhood and high school sweetheart Phillip Gago, they were married and devoted to each other for 55 years.
Preceded in death by her parents Gaudencio and Frances Baguio and her brother Martin Baguio. She is survived by her husband Phillip Gago, daughter Celene Campbell and husband Mark Campbell, son Phillip M Gago and grandson Andrew Gago; her two sisters Pauline Fishman and Irene Hildebrand, including many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Services will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 11th, 2021. Services will include a viewing from 9am to 11:30am with memorial services commencing at 11:30am at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield California, in the Celebration of Life Center. A private burial service will follow at the National Cemetery in Arvin California.
