Larry Dwayne Collom born January 9, 1943, in Bakersfield CA - only child of Herb and Geneva Collom. On December 9, 1977, he married Betty Collom. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Katrina Collom. Larry graduated South High School in 1960. He had a long successful career in the Oil & Gas industry and worked for several companies including Gary Drilling, Finley Well Service, Tri State and Well Tech Inc. Larry eventually retired from Oil Well Service Company in 2007 where he spent 21 years as a manager. He also was co-owner of several other companies including Quesstar Petroleum, Martinez Testing and EPCO & Associates Real Estate. He was a well-respected leader throughout his career in all of his endeavors. He will be remembered and missed by many friends in the Oil & Gas and Real Estate industries. He is survived by his wife, Betty Collom. Daughter Terri Collom-Sparks (Bakersfield, CA). Sons’ Tim Collom wife Stephanie (Glenville, CA), Mike Collom wife Luisa (Bakersfield CA), Charles Collom Husband Stephen (Bakersfield CA). Grandchildren Erika Munoz, Brooke Graham, Lori Ramirez, Saron Collom, Christina Sparks, Justin Perkins, Ashley Collom, Nicole Collom, Grace Jones and Bella Collom. 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. The pallbearers will be Nigle Bilderbeck, Rick Priddy, Jason Matzke, Dennis Ash, David Ash, Bill Mell and honorary Pallbearer, Auggie Barrera. We will miss Larry deeply and forever hold him in our hearts.
