Obituary for Kenneth Harvey Despot Jr.

Kenneth Harvey Despot Jr. was born to Kenneth Harvey Despot Sr. and Linda Diane (Peterson) Lester on March 14th, 1971 in Tacoma, Washington. Kenny passed away July 18th, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Southwest in Bakersfield, California at the age of 49.
When he was 7 years old, he moved with his family to Bakersfield, California. He attended Thompson Jr. High School, and West High School. He discovered his love for music at an early age, playing several instruments in the marching band. He also played baseball at West High School.
Kenny worked for Aramark Uniforms, Schwans Food, and PTI as a transportation driver and route delivery driver. Kenny had been known often as the “gentle giant,” with a huge heart always full of love for all his friends from work. His job with PTI enabled him work around trains, in which he’s had a great passion for his whole life. Kenny always enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing. He also had a great love for Dodgers baseball and Seattle Seahawks Football.

He was preceded in death by brother Christopher Kenneth Despot, Grandparents Robert & Harriet Peterson and Harvey & Aune Despot
Kenny was survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Ashlie Despot, Kale Despot, Kory Despot; Brother: Matthew Despot; Parents: Linda and John Lester, Kenneth and Joy Despot Sr.; and many loving Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, great friends, and furbaby Willow
