Juan Angel Barcenas from Mexicali, BC Mexico passed away on May 12, 2021 in his home in Bakersfield, California. He was surrounded with the love of his children and his devoted wife Martha Barcenas Rodriguez on his final days.

My dad, was what each of his children called him. They all argued over who was his favorite because that is how he made each of them feel. He had a special gift for giving his kids and grandkids nicknames. Nicknames that will always be cherished.

He was a lifelong LA Dodgers fan. He enjoyed listening to music, especially his favorite band Los Muecas from Mexicali. He loved to dance cumbias and rock n roll with his dancing partner Martha and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his eleven children: Enriqueta Vargas, Lucia Barragan, Rosangel Barcenas, Martha Barcenas, Bellinda Barcenas, Viviana Barcenas, Johnny Barcenas, Angel Barcenas, Juan Barcenas, Andrew Barcenas, 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe Alvarez and Concepcion Barcenas, 2 brothers Manuel and Pedro Barcenas and his daughter Angie Barcenas.

Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Homes on Tuesday May 25th, 2021.
