Obituary for Jennifer Lanae Veith

JENNIFER LANAE CHASE VIETH
On December 12, 2020 heaven welcomed home a warrior, Jennifer Lanae Chase Veith. Born on November 23, 1980, she was proud to call Bakersfield home. Upon graduation from Ridgeview High School, she attended Cascade Christian College in Oregon, graduating with an associate degree from Bakersfield College. As a Registered Nurse, Jennifer found her calling. Working most of her career at Memorial Hospital, and later as a Home Health nurse. Her quick mind and gentle nature left a lasting impression on those she worked with and those she cared for.
Jennifer was most proud of being a wife and Mother. In what she described as the perfect wedding; she married Shawn K. Veith on September 18, 2004. Their family would be blessed on August 4, 2005 by Katelynn Jeanne, and again on February 22, 2007 with Courtney Rae. Jennifer cherished her daughters and dedicated her strength and passion to being their Mom.
Christ was the foundation of Jennifer’s heart, a baptized believer she faithfully served the Church of Christ her entire life. She loved attending women’s retreats, being camp Nurse for YBC, youth rallies, and serving in the nursery.
Disneyland was her happy place, there was nothing she loved more than a quick trip to the Magic Kingdom. No matter where she was, she knew exactly how long it would take to get there. She believed the Electric Light Parade was just for her.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her Papa, Keith Lackey, her Grandma, Carmela Chase, and Shawn’s parents, Donald & Lucille Veith. She is survived by husband; Shawn, daughters; Katelynn and Courtney, Mom; Sheri (Dick) Anthes, Dad; David (Melissa) Chase. Grandparents Lewis Chase and Marcia Lackey. Siblings; Jackie (Spencer) Actis, Taylor (Hunter) Balmer, Blake Chase, Lindsey Montijo, Robbie Veith, Richard (Cindy) Anthes and Christina Anthes. Nieces and Nephews; Justin (Megan) Chase, Wesson Actis, Teagan & Beau Balmer, Richie & Claire Anthes, Allyson (Nate) Buchanan, Justice, Destinee, Everleigh, and Marcus Montijo. Aunts and Uncles, Kathy Bird, Lynnette Chase, Steve & Patty Chase, Mike and Benita Chase, and Ron Lackey. For her many cousins, you know she loved you deeply.
To her Friends, you know who you are, there are no words to express how you touched our family. Unselfishly providing meals, rides, calls, texts, prayers, and unwavering support. We cherish every one of you.
A celebration of life will be held at Central Church of Christ, 425 S. H Street on January 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, take someone you love Disneyland and feel the magic. In her honor, donations can be made to the Kern Cancer Fund www.go.dojiggy.io/jenniferveith
