Obituary for Ilse Ana Gloria Espina Batres de Salguero
On Friday, August 26, 2022, Ilse Ana Gloria Espina Batres de Salguero, a lovely mother of three, passed away at age fifty-eight. A teacher and a business woman, Ilse earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and spent many years teaching as well as working as the director at a prestigious printing company in Guatemala City. As a teacher, she funded a small school that included Kindergarten and first grade. She was the director of this school, and, as an entrepreneur of such, she made a successful education path to many children in Guatemala City. Some of her students were her own children and nieces and nephews. Her school was also her house and she made this place a truly magical space for everyone!
Ilse was born in Guatemala City on July 20, 1964. She loved her mother, Imelda Batres and endured her sad passing in Guatemala City many years ago. She had a beautiful childhood with her sister, Verónica Espina and her brother Walter Espina. She also enjoyed living with all of her cousins. She had a love of animals, drawing, creating, gardening, and friends & family. She was always very kind to all the animals, and she would even nurse sick animals to life. She loved all of her pets from her childhood to her final years. She was always a teacher in her career and also in her personal life. She would always help her children do homework and often would do their most challenging projects, especially when it was about drawing. She loved her house and her garden, and she would always water it peacefully.
Ilse was best known for her laughter and smile as well as for her kind nature, her generous spirit, and resilience, especially as a single mother. She is survived by her children, Allan, Christian, and Daniela. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 23 at 4 p.m. at 2739 Panama Ln Bakersfield, CA 93313 and same place on Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. at 2739 Panama Ln Bakersfield, CA 93313 In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gofundme link https://gofund.me/475373df
