Obituary for Ida Elizabeth Antell

Ida was born the second child on July 25, 1927, to Paul and Pearl Longacre in Crossville Illinois.
Ida was a hairdresser for many decades, and in the 1970's she became a cosmetology instructor while living in Rhode Island. Ida retired and she and her family moved to California 1987 where she enjoyed meeting new people and playing Bunco, golfing, entertaining family and friends with dinner and Christmas parties and making crafts. She loved her family get-togethers to play cards and board games.

Ida is predeceased by her parents Paul and Pearl Longacre from Illinois, Sisters Pauline Longacre and Betty Longacre from Illinois, sister Vivian King from Florida, brother Kenneth Gene Longacre from New Mexico and daughter Paula Kay Antell from Bakersfield.

Ida is survived by her daughter Lynn and Son-in-law Michael Manes from Bakersfield, Granddaughter Kristine Kaya and Great Grandchildren Breisha, Arielle and Nicholas George from Rhode Island, Grandson Michael Paul Antell. Sister Delores Gisinger and niece Julie Gisinger from Bakersfield and sisters Shirley Everson and her children and Patricia Watson and her children from NC along with extended family and friends.

A service ceIebrating Ida's life will be held at Shafter Memorial Park, 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA , on Thursday, October 8 at 2 p.m. Anyone who knew Ida is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
