Obituary for Drew Dakota Bianchi

1986 – 2023
Drew Dakota Bianchi went to our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at the age of 37. He was born March 10, 1986, in Bakersfield, Ca. to Mark and Lynn Bianchi. Mark and Lynn are both 3rd generation Kern County residents. Drew is a 4th generation born in Kern County. His great, great grand parents came to Kern County from Italy in 1888.
After receiving an Associates of Science degree from Bakersfield College Drew was accepted to the University of California Davis as a junior, majoring in microbiology and chemistry. As a young man of 21 years of age he had worked for AMS Legal Support Services, managed a retail Airsoft store and spent a season in Clam Gluch Alaska as a commercial salmon fisherman all while pursuing his education. He had decided he was going to be a doctor.
Drew loved the outdoors, was a captain of the varsity tennis team and was fascinated with science and mathematics. He also enjoyed all genre of music and loved playing guitar.
Drew traveled extensively in the western United States. He also traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Washington DC, New York, Illinois, Ohio, the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Mexico. He had a wide range of interests and hobbies.
Drew was always kind, helpful and smart. He was usually the smartest person in the room although he would never admit it. He was quick to give advice when asked and ready to offer a helping hand when needed. He also had a wonderful dry sense of humor. He is loved beyond measure and deeply missed by his family and friends. He is and was the Best of Us!
Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents Roma (Tony) Mansfield and Barbara Mansfield and Henry (Hank) Bianchi and Norma Bianchi.
Drew is survived by his parents Mark and Lynn Bianchi and his sisters Brooke Bianchi and Sonnet Bianchi Metzner as well his two nieces and nephew.
