Delores Aguilar Rios AKA Gma 81 years old
December 18, 2020 Bakersfield California
Daughter of Joe and Jesse Aguilar. Mom was born July 9, 1939 in Los Angeles California.
She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno Ca with her diploma. Mom worked in the fields from 12 years old until High School. Her first job after graduation was a salesclerk at Ted's Department Store then Montgomery Wards in Fresno. Mom was an extremely hard worker and had many jobs.
She was a stocker and deli worker at Louie's Meat Market, a security guard for M & S Security, owner of El Sombrero a Mexican Restaurant, a care giver for a hospice agency, a waitress at Bucks Steak House and Shift Supervisor at Pizza Hut, which she retired from. Mom married our dad Joe Henry Rios on July 31, 1964. They were married for 55 years. During
their marriage they had four children: Renee, Richard, Robin and Jose Jr.
Mom enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren. She loved the peace of the beach and the trips she would take with our dad to golf tournaments or Laughlin Nevada to play the slot machines. Mom and dad took long car trips visiting family and friends throughout the United States.
She enjoyed painting, crocheting, knitting, dancing, and cooking. Mom always had wives tales for any and all occasions and cute sayings with advice. The one I remember the most is Don't take any wooden nickels.
Delores (mom) is survived by her sons Richard and Jose Sr., and her daughters Theresa, Annette, and Robin. Her grandchildren: Victoria, Michelle, Robert, Arianna, Jasmine, Eric, Jarrod, Jordan, Luis, Isabella, Alexis, Jose Jr. and Gavin Brothers: Richard and John
Sisters: Helen, Carmen, Juanita, Josie, and Linda. Great grandchildren: many
Delores is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Jessie, husband Joe, daughter Renee, brothers Allen and Joe, sisters Sally and Betty and grandchildren Christina and Josh.
Services will be held Wednesday December 23, 2020 from 4pm thru 8pm in the chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 3700 River Blvd, Bakersfield, CA. 93305.
