Clayton Winkler, born 10/11/1994 passed away on 7/27/2022 at the age of 27. Clayton was a force of life that
was filled with love, happiness, and hugs. With a simple, “how we doing team”, his smile and laughter would light up a room. Born in Bakersfield, Ca., Clay attended Heritage Academy, graduated from Garces High School in 2013, and studied at California State University, Bakersfield. Clayton had a passion for every facet of the movie industry, whether it was acting, editing, directing or attending movies, he was always in his glory. He loved to write movie scripts and direct his high school and 3-T buddies as actors in his play. Clay had a gift for memorizing movie line quotes and was able to drop his favorite movie lines in every sentence he used. Over the past two years Clay and his special girlfriend (April Reed) began auditioning in LA for different movie roles and were able to successfully act in some short films. Clayton was blessed with a gentle spirit and despite whatever issues he was dealing with, he found his peace in helping and talking to others. He was always there to listen or text and provide his best advice to anyone suffering. Clayton was a beautiful young man with a charming disposition and will be missed by all family members, friends and acquaintances.
Clayton Winkler is survived by father, Scott Winkler (Susie), mother, Jenifer Zaninovich (Nick), brothers Conrad and Calvin, sisters Hannah & Sarah Aurin and Kara Zaninovich, grandmothers Carol Winkler and Corky Plunkett.
Clayton was preceded in death by brother Carter Winkler and grandfathers Jerry Winkler and Larry Plunkett. A special thanks to all family, friends, 3-T, KGET, classmates and God for holding us up during this difficult time.
