Obituary for Chris Edward Herrmann

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Edward Herrmann, a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 75.

Chris was born on September 30, 1947, in Bakersfield California to the late Chris Edgar Herrmann and Gladys Sue Actkinson. He married the love of his life, Louella Herrmann.

Chris proudly served his country in the United States Army from August 22, 1967, through August 21, 1969.
After serving in the military, he started his career as a millwright with General Mills LA Flour Mill. He worked at the mill for 30 years before retiring.

After retirement, he moved to California Hot Springs, where he had spent much of his teen years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA. He was an active member of the Rocky Mount Elk Foundation and volunteered for many years.

Chris was known for his great BBQ, his good stories, and his beautiful woodwork. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris is survived by his wife Louella Herrmann, brother Harold and his wife Inge. Niece Darla and family. Nephew David and family. Sisters-in-law Carol Soderquist and family. Pat LeMay and family. Pam Campbell.

Funeral services will be held on at Bakersfield Nation Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd. Arvin, CA 93203. A reception is to follow.
