Beatrice A. Gomez, 80 years old, date of death 2/20/2021 in Bakersfield California.
Beatrice was born to Joseph and Barbara Alvarez on April 20, 1940 in Bakersfield California and graduated from Bakersfield High School in the year of 1958. She then met and married the love of her life Armando Gomez on June 25, 1960. Beatrice held several jobs thru out her career but spent many years working at One Hour Martinizing then was the buyer for Vest Drugs Store for 28 yrs. Beatrice then after retirement worked thru the Grandparent’s Program at McKinley School assisting with mentally or autistic children.
Beatrice became a member of the Apostolic church in 1975. She loved to travel with the church and assisted in any areas needed. Thru out the years she visited numerous churches. She last attended Amazing Grace Tabernacle Church in Bakersfield California. Beatrice loved to read her bible and give counsel to anyone in need. Beatrice also loved to decorate for weddings and other events. Beatrice joined the Sociedad Juarez for Senior Citizens where she spent time interacting with other seniors and participated in several events. When Beatrice retired she loved to plant plants and take care of her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were everything to her.
Beatrice was survived by her Daughters Susan, Elisa, and Dianna, numerous grand and great grand-children, her bother Martin Alvarez and sister Gloria Alvarez. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Armando Gomez, her brother Ernest Alvarez, brother Benny Alvarez, brother Joey Alvarez and parents Joseph Alvarez and mother Barbara De La Cruz.
Services will be held March 11th at 6 pm at the GA Bakersfield Church located at 5415 Woodmere Drive and Friday March 12th at 11 am at the GA Bakersfield Church located at 5415 Woodmere Drive. “In lieu of flowers donations may be made to…”
