In 1971, she left Western Samoa and headed to Hawaii, where she stayed with her brother and his family. November 30, 1971, she gave birth to her firstborn, Maureen. In 1972, she met Roger Sr., and they later married in 1973. On November 10, 1974, they had a son, Roger Jr.

In the spring of 1988, the family moved to Bakersfield, CA. She worked several jobs, including McDonald’s as a Manager. Up until her passing, she was the house manager for 2 homes, dealing with the mentally disabled, for almost 28 years. The residents loved her always looked forward to seeing her every day.

Ane was not only an incredible and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, but anyone that came into contact with her, felt her warmth and love. She lit the room up with her smile and knew how to have a good time, but she also kept it real, whether you wanted to hear it or not. She would give her last to make sure everyone else was ok. Ane will be dearly missed by all she crossed paths with, but she is watching over us all with a smile that will continue to radiate through our memories.

Ane is survived by her husband, Roger Sr., children, Maureen and Roger Jr., and 4 grandchildren, Celeste, Roger III, Rhiannon, and Faith.
